I only got the new CD Key because I'd filed the GDPR request with Rockstar, and threatened to file the same request against Steam. It is possible, but it was difficult. My point was supposed to be that when you click "Permanently delete game from Steam Library", that is not enough, on its own, to be able to rebuy, and play the game. Y'all also need to go through a long-winded, and potentially unsuccessful chat with Steam, regarding the repurchase, and get Steam Support to manually give you a new CD Central.

Every bit I said previously, it got banned in 2015. I've now sent a ticket to Steam Support asking them for a new cd-key when I re-purchase the game, so let'south see how that goes.
