411 PCM bandy into a 97 c5
I have fried ii pcm's so far in my 97 c5. i'd similar to upgrade to a 411 pcm that i found thats from an 01 corvette. I've read things that say i cant employ hp tuners on this item swap, that that will fry the pcm. is that true, or can i use this pcm? i know that i need to repin the harness, and i'm ok with that. any assistance is appreciated? i searched all over and havent found a reliable source. thanks in accelerate!

both of these forums people say you deceit vin lucifer with the newer ones on older cars. only i ordered a 411 pcm and will be installing that when information technology gets hither if you say information technology volition work!

while our software cannot modify the vin to lucifer that doesn't mean our software will fry the pcm the two items are not fifty-fifty remotely related.
Additionally our software can license virtually any vin/bone combination in software version 2.25, got a suzuki vin number but a gm os id we can license it, got a jaguar vin but an ybody operating system we can license information technology.

OK. And so the just issue will be the vin tin can't be changed? That doesn't matter for annihilation correct?

You need to know if the emission test requires the vin in the pcm to friction match the vehicle vin. And I've tuned 1997 Corvette pcm's without whatsoever issues. Originally Posted by Gaspo OK. Then the simply consequence will be the vin can't be inverse? That doesn't matter for anything correct?
